Peru’s Challenge

The mountain range of the Andes in Peru is a breathtakingly beautiful destination however amongst the beauty, life for many Peruvians is heartbreakingly tough. For this reason, Peru's Challenge has been created by Jane Gavel from Australia and Selvy Ugaz from Peru. Peru's Challenge is a not-for-profit organisation working with volunteer travellers to improve child education, health and hygiene standards in indigenous mountain villages.

Inspired by Emma who was part of a volunteering team in 2005, e3 is developing a close relationship with Peru’s Challenge. She returned to Cusco in July this year to visit the community she was working with and to initiate discussions around micro-financing – part of e3’s people power philosophy!
