what creates the 'fire in your belly'?

Emma talks to 14-16 year olds at Badminton Girls school...Opening the Careers Fair at Badminton School on Saturday 10th May, Emma caused quite a stir and certainly woke the young girls up! “Education alone is simply not enough to be competitive in the new world of work. Of the crucial factors that define the radical changes in the employee / employer relationship, I am going to focus on PASSION.” Emma then went on to talk about how it is so important to understand who you are, what you love doing, something that gives you that ‘fire in your belly’ and then making a plan to get out there and do it.

“One of the greatest things about growing up in the world as we know it, is that we have choices. The unbelievable amount of opportunities for graduates, the global exposure and freedom amongst our generation was previously unheard of.”

Badminton School is an independent boarding, weekly boarding and day school for girls aged 4-18 years, located on a 20-acre campus in the heart of the attractive University City of Bristol. The Careers Fair gave the students an opportunity to talk to professionals from a broad range of sectors and industries and ask loads of questions on their career choices.
