Engaging with Innovative Ideas – Focus this month : Expert Alumni...With half of the working population about to retire, companies are struggling to manage without their experience and having difficulty transferring such expertise to the younger generations. Expert Alumni work with professionals who want to continue making a difference by applying their skills, knowledge and expertise in the workplace in projects, full or flex-time roles or in coaching, mentoring or training.

Retired professionals have significant experience that organisations want to tap into - experience that has been developed over decades. We have recognised that the needs and desires of retiring Baby Boomers are different to those, not only of other retirees, but also the needs and desires of this significant demographic group pre-retirement.  As a recent McKinsey report  observed, "Baby boomers have rewritten the rules at every stage of their lives. They will rewrite the rules of retirement as well."

The Expert Alumni web-enabled database has, at the heart of it, the sophisticated technology that is used for DNA matching.  We are therefore able to provide a means by which Members can build a profile that incorporates, in context, their career, expertise and personal preferences (their Life and Career DNA) rather than just a CV or resume.
